Hi, I found a squared little connector free, behind the left cover and I would like to know if it is used for the auxiliary power socket or not. Thank you.

most likely is - does it have a piece of blue tape attached to it if the answer is yes then defo is 12v power connecter...

If the terminals are at 90 deg to each other and as nomad mentioned,it has a piece of blue tape on it then yes.
No it hasn't.. And there's no one like the one you mention as far as I can see, not behind the black socket-ready cover nor behind the coloured one that say rocket III on it.

Behind the later is the connector I mean, the terminals are placed in parallel and reads aprox 12 volts when the power is on.

I plan to add an auxiliary socket from Triumph that I just ordered, should I just wire it to the battery or not? I mean, is there a "correct and official" way to do it? If you say there is a special connector for the auxiliary socket, I guess I'll have to find one but there's no part number for it or I haven't found it yet.

Thanks

Find someone with a CA bike. I remember seeing a pic where it was plugged in the Emissions cannister.

behind the black cover on the left side of the bike (with the blanking plug in it) is a steel bracket to which the cover is fastened using the 2 torx screws. Somewhere close to this will be will be a small plug as I described . It will have a small piece of blue tape wrapped around the end to identify it. It is live only when the ignition is switched on. The plug fits directly into the powerlet type outlet you have. HTH
P.S. I think on my bike the wires were folded and wrapped in black tape so you may have to dig around to find it.

Here is a link to the connector I have hanging free.

Yes that's the one I mean. I will have a look again to see if the auxiliary socket one is there. Thank you all.

Interesting. Is the US spec different? My aux socket (connected as described above) is permanently live. It is where I plug the Optimate in.
