My brother in law has one and I out run him over 6 car lengths in a quarter. Yes Its one of the fastest little cars around but not going to beat the rocket..23.000 CCs against 24.000 CCs but the neon weights almost 3.000 LBs. and the turbo cant make up for that..You must have been talking about a modified version.. And I thought you were just the expert on sheep.........:D

You don't want to encounter a Neon SRT4. I guarantee it will embarass you. A stock SRT4 will run a high 10 quarter and a little cheap tweaking will put it in the low 10's.

Next time you pull up to a Neon, be sure it don't have 4 wheel disc brakes and a spoiler on the back.......:D

Neon SRTs run 14s. Cheap (relative term) will put them high 12s/low 13s. I tune turbo cars. I've done a 400hp Audi TT. THAT car won't even run 10s.

I've got to tell you all that it's what the owner told me. Personally, I'd never own a Chrysler product, I prefer something else and not an Audi either. I have had a little personal experience with the Neon engine. I fit the new Wiseco pistons and Carrillo rods and wrist pins last fall.

Jack stated that I had 'sunshine blown up my rectum'. If indeed that happened it never changed my outlook on life so it must have been 'partly cloudy'.;)

All in all, I much prefer to observe idiots in the process of beating each other than to participate. That occurs on Saturday night at the local pub around midnight.

I didn't finish reading the thread when I replied. I wasn't trying to kick a dead horse I promise!

My turbo 4 cylinder car is just a notch over 290hp/315trq at the wheels. I can barely muster a low 13 second pass. FWD cars are tricky to get a good launch. :)

I am NOT looking for rockets to race. Unless we do the standing mile or something. Then I might have a chance.
