What happens when you over tighten the oil drain plugs?

just tried to do my 1st 500 miles oil change.. once i took out the main oil slump bolt. now i can't get the bolt back in it just turns around like the thread is not engaging. any ideas ?? strange one this is on a rocket 2016

Did you get the old oil out ? Cause there are 2 drain bolts for the Sump and another one for the Oil tank> 3 in total.

I just took the oil tank one out 1st. i have not take anymore out yet.

Are sure you had the plug deep enough in the hole?

the plug goes in half way then stops i have tried playing with to go deeper but no success yet.

Try sticking your pinky or a small screwdriver in the hole to see if the gasket is jammed .

Hey Fingers i was gonna jack up the bike so i can get right under the bike and take a look in the hole, could be something like this crazy i know but i spend today two hours on my back playing around with this problem. all my other rocket friends thinks I'm just having a breakdown its only an oil change ))))))))))
