So I packed up the wife, kids, dogs, and bike, and left San Diego today for a trip to Seattle and back. I'm staying in Lone Pine CA on 395 tonight. If anyone wants to meet me for a beer at one of the RV parks I'll be staying at along the way I'd be more than open to it. I'm headed to see Nels at 2 Wheel DynoWorks with @1olbull Thursday morning, and we're going for a longish ride Sunday, Aug. 21, if any brave souls care to join.

I got a place here in Tacoma that you can park in front of with a nice big lawn next to you. I can also get you hooked up with power and stuff.
If you want to come by here on Wednesday, we can all head up to Nels' together on Thursday morn.
 
Not sure where McDermitt, Or is.

Champoeg state park is on I-5 probably 35 minutes North of Salem, Or. Excellent for dogs, kids, bikes, etc. Right on the Willamette river. Closest town is St. Paul, I think.

There is a very nice private RV park on the Sacramento river. Not far off the I-5.

We have a spot at the bottom of our property, if you have an interest. There is water and I have a generator handy, if you would like. We are on 26 acres, blackberries are ripe. We are about halfway from Silverton, Or towards Silver Falls state park. Nights are cool, you will not need to run AC. There is also a nice RV park in Silverton.

Oh heck, I'll just miss you. I'm riding up to British Columbia on Tuesday. That's a good looking rig you have there and have fun on your journey. You'll see some beautiful country.
 
Let me know if you want to hook up for a meal while your in Sacramento. That's about an hr from me.

Thanks, Steve, but I'm already booked at Vasa Park on the SW end of Lake Sammamish. I'm partially in town for work meetings around Seattle/Bellevue, so this is a pretty good spot for me. Plus, work is paying for it. Thanks for the kind offer though!

The park is just off I-90 so you could stop by around 8:30 Thursday morning on our way up to Nels' and we could ride up together, or I can just meet you there.
 
McDermitt is in SE Oregon on the OR-NV border on I-95, and the town straddles both states. Thanks for the recommendations and offer, we might just take you up on it next Wed (we have our own gas gen and propane tanks). Please PM me your contact info.

@Navigator That's too bad, but that's a beautiful ride! Thanks, it's been a gorgeous drive so far. Wish I could be riding, but when it's 110F maybe the AC (and the family, I guess) aren't so bad.

I've heard a lot of stories about you. Despite pretty much all of them (and your Rocket defection) yeah let's plan on meeting up. I'll let you know when we get a place reserved for that night.
