OK, doing my first long ride xcountry. Left the Vietnam Wall and DC late yesterday at about 106 degrees to Covington, VA. Of course I knew late pm DC traffic was a bizitch, I worked there and warned my buddies.
Anyhow, the Rocket sure could use a ****** cooler!!! Man...... A bit better coming to Lexington today, but still could use that cooler.
I think that if you rode in the heat a lot a cooling jacket of sometype would be a must. Its just not the temp, its the hot weather and the heat pouring off the engine and radiator.
Getcha one of them seat covers that's a bunch of wooden beads, really helps with the "swamp ass". You can buy them already made, or buy a car one at Walmart for around $14.00 and make your own. We sewed ours to a black bath towel so it wouldn't leave marks on the seat. Nice in the rain too, keeps your ass out of the water ! This what it will make you look like
