Two of my favorite things

Viewed in slow motion at :09 seconds you can see the bullet strike the large rock about 6-8 feet from the nearest animal before they all break. I suspect he was going for the one directly above the bullet strike but got his trajectory on a down hill shot all wrong.

Its not easy shooting up hill at them for sure...if they take off, chances are you wont see them until they are along way higher. One may stand on an outcrop of rock briefly to see where you are then he bolts again.
I was fortunate to get my bull as he was opposite me and about 200 yards away facing me. My .270 Winchester is a very straight shooting rifle at 200 yards and i hit him right in the chest. He died on the spot and fell where he stood.
I was overcome with sadness and relieved at the same time. They are a majestic animal and with the wind blowing their mane up they certainly look a picture.
Their hair has a mixture of twisted wool type of thing mixed through which protects them from the extreme cold.
The bulls range by themselves or with other bulls until the rut when they seek out females....alot of fighting takes place to see who is the strongest and therefore wins the females...of course there are the younger bulls who rush in and steal a quicky while the big bulls are fighting.

Are riding my rocket and hammering steel plates with a high powered rifle from as far away from them as possible. It's a GOOD day when you can do both before 9am on a Sunday morning :D

If you look all the way to the back just above the left corner of the bench there is a little light colored dot framed on the top and both sides by lines. That's what an 8 inch square steel plate looks like from about 230 yards.

Lot to be said for a rifle that you can take apart and put in the saddle bags
I hope that was with iron sights at such a close range ? Ah what a life !

Reminds me of the two bulls on the hillside , the young bull says " hey pops , let's run down there and **** one of them cows " . To which the old bull replies , " no son , let's walk down there and **** em all ! "

@Nat67 Look here you little whippersnapper, you need to learn some respect for your elders! If you were over on this side of the pond, I would change up the batteries in my electric mobility scooter, chase you down and give you a proper flogging for your insolence!:roll::roll:

Truth be told Nat, my eyes have been junk since I was a kid and the last half century hasn't improved them much. I can run the irons out to 100 meters or so but that's about the end of it.

Past that I would probably throw my neck out, looking like a bobble head doll, trying to get the bifocals to focus between the sights and the target.

Ps. Don't EVER let the eye doctor talk you into bifocals.

Pps. I would pm your s.o. @Nat69's girl and get her to flog you by proxy but I doubt it would achieve the desired results :whitstling:
