I have a triple K&N system on the way and was wondering if I needed to change the tune if the exhaust stays stock. Basically will just the intake swap make the mix more lean if exhaust is unchanged.
I have ordered a viking 3-1 from Paul on the forum but sadly it will take a few months to get them. I know I will need another tune when I put that bad boy on.
Up till now I have used tune ECU but could not find a tune for a classic with open intake and stock exhaust. When the time comes I will also have to hunt down a KN + Viking 3-1.
I read about the Dobek AFR + while perusing these forums and was wondering if my current tune + Dobek would be sufficient when making these staged changes without worrying about swapping tunes?

My opinion is nothing more then a TORS tune leave the secondaries alone until you make a big move like adding the exhaust. When it comes to exhaust what ever you take in, you have to breathe out or its about like tits on a nun, balls on a priest, or gosh darn piss ants!!!! all useless!!!!!
Sounds like I'll go at it without a tune and see what happens then. Look what showed up in the mail today!
I also think I've decided to do the 240hp Carpenter kit when winter hits. Figure I'll already be halfway there with intake and exhaust. This should set me up for a bike I'll want to keep for a few years.
Project update, got the new filters in and cleared all that plastic junk out. Ran super rich when I started it up and fogged out the garage. Then I realized I forgot to re-hook a vacuum line. After fixing, all was good and seemed to idle/rev fine with the current tune.
Started moving my mess from under seat (2 amps, blue tooth control, and under glow receiver) to the new found space and decided I should install it as a switched block. The question is, does anyone know a good place to splice into by battery area that powers with ignition switch?
trying to send pics but apparently one drive hates me right now
