Help, the tuneECU user's guide says to start with key on - kill switch on - engine off. However, it does not state when it is safe to start the engine, when performing the DIAGNOSTIC and TEST functions.
I know if you happen to start a car while DTC's are being read you can cause major problems.

basicly, once you have a green light flashing in the lower right corner you are safe to start the bike.

Tune ecu

Just make sure your in the diagnostics menu when u reset your tps after you load your tune other wise you will be waiting all day for the green light to come on for the tps after reseting it if your on the tests screen

I have at many bikes with Keihin ECU, the TPS reset performed and always from the map editor window. I never had a problem. The green TPS-light always came.
