Troubles and havent even had first ride

today is the day to test fuel rail as well as feeding the baby :) took of the rail completly out (not sure if i shopuld have done this but i wanted to look at and see how it works) sprayed carby cleaner and black soot come back out so much so that it covered my hand completly black. just getting a couple of new hose clamps and then testing the jets but i am guessing that they wont spray even. just out of curiosity i phoned up dealership to see if they had a new fuel rail for sale. guess what none in Australia and it will take 4 weeks to get here. i will order overseas if needed

Maybe look up a mobile injector cleaning guy in your area, he could flush out the fuel rail and service the injectors
yeah, we tested the fuel rail all 3 sprayed fuel but the one closest to the back sprayed less fuel then the other 2, we basically put cardboard underneath the injectors and the 3 times we did it the same injector didn't give as much as the other 2. not sure if that is a tps thing as well.

Remove the injectors (just pop the clips off and pull them out) and thoroughly flush the rail - no need to replace the rail itself, just clean it.
A fuel rail (just the bare tube) is ~ £140 by UK prices, so hate to think what that is in Oz pricing - a lot of money for something that has no parts that can wear and just requires cleaning.
Injectors are £160 EACH!

Not sure if you mean "can the TPS cause this" (difference between the flows)?
No, whatever is going on with the TPS, it would affect all three Injectors to the same degree.
However you should regardless do the TPS checks after you finish with the fuel rail/injectors clean.

Best bet is to find an injector cleaning service as opposed to replacing them, which is going to be both more expedient and certainly much more cost effective, even vs replacing with used ones
Do all three.

If you DO want to replace the parts there is a fuel rail complete with injectors off 2014 for $200 and also complete set of TBs/Fuel Rail/Injectors* for ~ same price ($200) on EBay in US currently and another listing for just set of 3 injectors for $100
(those are all US $ so about 28% more in Oz $)

* That one is quite the deal - TBs complete with Fuel Rail/Injectors, (even the Fuel-line/hose back to the banjo), the Idle Stepper and TPS are all included.
That freakin Hose with the banjo is £134 alone!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

When you said you replaced the fuel pump - was this the entire pump assembly or just the pump itself?
Did you replace the fuel filter? If not, you should do that also.

yeah we changed the fuel pump, fuel filter and regulator, been a good day of getting to know my bike, unfortunatley spent about an hour trying to retrieve a bolt that droped through the top. we put the fuel rail back on to see if there was any difference, the bike wouldnt start at all so after scratching our heads i realised we had knocked it into gear (it was a duh moment) took it out of gear let the fuel pump run then tried starting it, she started twice but then stalled after about a second by the third time the battery died. going to try again tomorrow with full battery. tonight i will try to find who can fix them, tomorrow i will try and pop the jets off as recomended and have a look. its been enjoyable learning the bike :) thankyou all for the suggestions i have written them all down.

ps if all injectors are not spraying the same amount would this cause the amount of problems i am having? in non mechanical terms its like 2 are spraying 20 mil of fuel and 1 is spraying 10 -15ml.

I'm certainly not the most knowledgable guy here, but I'd say no. That might make it run rough or miss, but not die completely. I believe once you hook up tuneEcu you'll find your TPS is the culprit. Particularly now that the other possible causes have been replaced, cleaned, or ruled out.

yeah, i will take it to go get cleaned tomorrow, tomorrow will be tps day sa well. thankyou all for your help i really appreciate the help as its giving me confidence to learn my bike :)
