It's difficult to find a spec on these comfort suspension units. A couple of people on the UK board bought them in last year's sale at about £60 the pair. they say they like them. But here's the dilemma. I thought they were softer sprung - ie they would be useful if like me you are middle sized, don't carry a pillion, and don't carry luggage. But one of the UK guys says they are brilliant because when he goes off touring with his missus fully loaded they improve the handling and the ride .... so are they stiffer or softer?
who is selling them off by the way?
Mike
Total Triumph (in Devon) are flogging them for £100 via eBay; if they are as soft as suggested, I'll give them a miss. However, they are supposedly the same units as fitted to the R3T.......do they handle like sofas? (Expecting incoming!!)
hmmmm something very strange going on here. Total Triumph are claiming the RRP of these are £312 and that their price of £100 is therefore 70% discount. But Triumph's own website lists their Comfort Touring pack as £156. I can't imagine this comprises a suspension unit for just one side :?
Mike
PS I've noticed quite a few other 'buy it now' prices for accessories on ebay are well above Triumphs own RRP
Hagon shocks cost around £300 with V.A.T. ( no Vat if buying abroad)
For that, you get a tailor made shock with adjustable rebound damping, & can choose a raised spring length for better ground clearance & sharper handling.
Having bought a pair, I can vouch for them wholeheartedly
