When I bought my 2008 Rocket III demo last July from Polaris west in Katy, Texas, I was told I was not eligible for the 1500.00 Clothing and Accessories Rebate, because I was getting such a good price for the bike? Doesn't the rebate come from Triumph? My buddy is looking at a black beauty same scenario but 2009 and is offered the rebate (different dealer). I asked that dealer and they said I was ripped off? Anyone had rebate issues? I was told to contact Triump North America rep but not sure If I have valid *****? It was not such a greta deal it was ok, my buddy got the same......

The previous post is correct, the promotion is from Triumph, the dealer should have put in for it for you and you should have gotten the $1,500 worth of clothing or accessories.

I'll ask my dealer about it next time I call or visit (would like to do that in person) but it sounds like your dealer may have cut you a little short...and that is not right.

I've heard mixed reviews on Katy Triumph.. Similar situations to yours.. I know I visited there once and they were real friendly until they found out I already owned a Rocket, then they were gone.. ? I don't have any other personal dealings with them though, but I've heard enough that I would beware.

As I understand it the rebate is from Triumph for any previously unregistered bike they may have registered it to use as a Demo but I would ask Triumph USA anyway what's the worst they can do, say no? IMO there's nothing worse than always having that nagging feeling of wondering if you can trust your dealer or not

When I bought my speedmaster, I got the $1500 in clothing. When I traded it in 6 months later on the Rocket, they told me that that the R3T wasn't eligible. But I got the 3.9% financing, so that more than made up for not getting the gear.

You definitely got ripped off. The rebate is a factory rebate. I bought my Tiger 1050 as a demo bike, although I was the only person to ride it. I got the $1,000 (it's a $1,000 on the Tiger) rebate and I rarely say this about car/bike deals, but I HIGHLY doubt anyone has purchased a *new* Tiger 1050 ABS for what I got that bike for.

P.s. I also got the $800 demo credit on the bike (included in the out the door price).

From the Triumph web site: (which, btw, shows an R3T in the offer for $1500 in accessories)
