Nearly into the engine now. Looks like when the previous owner wrecked he damaged the lower case and.. had somebody weld it back together and then applied a good smattering of JB weld. 🤦‍♂️

The cases are made of such cheap Porous cast welding is out of the question. Any moron who stroke a arc with any skill level at all would have seen that. Man i feel for you that is jerked up to the max.

Yep. It explains what was going on with the paint, too. Probably where they attached their ground.

My brother and I have only managed to break one piece while disassembling - unfortunately I can't find it on a parts diagram.

I neglected to disconnect it before we lifted the frame off, and I heard the ping as we clipped it.
