Transmission issue

Ok that is the gear change actuator shaft. on the three engines I have down stairs they all have at least 1 mm end play. I am not sure if it contacts the selector shaft the forks ride on I will have to hunt around and find a feeler gauge as one of my engine is split open. ( I use it to think with) anyway I have to hit the road the honey do list is never done I check back in a hour or so with my phone.
Thanks guys . I appreciate the end float but as V says , there seems to be a lot of slop around the actuator shaft which wasn't there 1000 miles ago . Surely this will get to the point where the oil seal will start leaking ? How is this fixed before the oil seal goes ? Not meaning to hijack this thread , but it seems relevant whilst Vs gearbox is apart !

You might be right but I have over 60,000 miles on my '06 of which 40,000 were boosted and it does not leak. Now plug the crank case vent and you might get a mist around it.

Where do you guys recommend ordering OEM parts with quicker delivery time online. Typically has taken at least 3 weeks from Bike Bandit when I have ordered parts before from their website.

Any recommendation for source quickest parts delivery and thinking of ordering either from Hermys and Bike Bandit

It's quite likely that anyone you order from is going to have your order drop shipped directly from Triumph, so it could be a couple weeks anyway you go, and even so if you hit up your dealer. Anything more complicated than tune up parts is not stocked anywhere but at Triumph quite usually.

Finally the parts were delivered but I have forgot to place order for cam timing tool. I am hoping I can borrow the tool from one of you guys. I can order a new tool and have it shipped to you .I would really appreciate it and not having to wait couple more weeks waiting on the tool
