I am not bashing carpenter on their ability to make power and the mechanical part of transaction and again for those who don`t read, on page 3 i said that i didn`t know if the scratch was there or not.

Phil, I will agree I am only getting 1 and half sides (since warp has decided to act upon carps behalf by evidence of his statements, which is commendable to say the least) I will say I do have a clue because I have dealt with many a company and there ability to put profit before customer....it doesnt change. Also I have to disagree that carpenter is "completely blameless". That would be impossible given all of the chatter about them on this site. They may not be the monsters made out to be but based on previous posts both good and bad.....it doesnt add up. The impression I get about this company in regards to the rocket is....

"We dont really care about it (the rocket) and if you want to give us your money to do the kit then great, but we got bigger fish to fry so take what we give you and go away"

Of course this may not be true (again I am detached and phil is correct I have not dealt with them personally) but its what I take away from the years of reading about this company on this site. Right wrong or indifferent thats my impression. My interest is only in the way one company handles the customer...not the personal side of what went down.....I am equally pissed at Triumph for their piss poor handling of so many issues here in the states and have voiced that. i have a Bob Carpenter stage 2 kit in my rocket. i shipped my head/ cams ect .. to BCR from perth,wa. in my opinion, carpenter were very professional in our dealing. i spoke privately with Bob and discussed the type of set up i wish to have.i have nothing but praise for Bob/carpenter racing and would gladly recomend them to anyone thats looking for genuine performance from their rocket.

If this is the same co. I can see why nobody trusts them.

You’re right Rich, I re read the post on page 3 and I still do not see where you said you did not know if the scratch was there when you dropped it off as you said in the e-mail to Art. It only seems to imply it happened there as you can see mutt ran with it. You’re wrong about the blowing smoke as I was wrong to try to help you out. I should have never sent sample maps to Tune Boy and explained to them what was needed on your bike. Nor should I have taken the time to see if we could wire up a standard ECU to get you going. Not to worry you have cured me of getting involved and trying to help. As for your bike being on the dyno I am sure that it had to be as the complete front end had to be taken apart which would have disturbed the valve timing. So a run on the dyno to check the fueling out was necessary whether you believe it or not. Now if you had called two days ahead of time as Bob asked you would have discussed the payment stuff. Seriously, you should read some of the nasty e-mails your wife sent him and ask yourself would you trust her to pay with a check or would you think she was going to drive out the door, call, and stop payment on the check. Of course calling him would have gave him more time to clean that pretty beast up as he had taken the bags and put them up in storage so they would not get damaged. Again, I for sure am sorry I got involved and tried to help you and I have learned a great lesson with that especially when I am not on the pay roll and have no stake in it. I have always tried to help people on these sites and getting burned for trying to help a fellow Triumph rider out in my book is not worth it anymore. With that all I can say to you is I hope you have many miles of trouble free smiles on that beast.

As I am sure, he said this after Hombre kept calling him every day asking for technical information so he could go out to and try to get the work done by Bobs suppliers at a cheaper rate. I suppose it would be so he can make you people think he engineered it himself. It is just too bad these shops called Bob and ratted Hombre out. So after Hombre telling Bob he sent the head a bunch of times Bob got tired of it and told him to send the head or not he really does not care. Again, as you pointed out you do not know the whole story. Other people on this site have experienced Hombre and know this to be true. As for this secret racer **** well as Hombre said any cam grinder can tell you the tappet sizes needed for the cams then why the hell did he need Bob to tell him the size as he had the cam specifications already. Just think about it and I am sure your opinion might change some.
The racer secret **** came from me making a statement that Bob has agreement with some of his customers to not give out information and if he gave me some information and ask me not to let it out I would honor it. This is when Hombre thru a hissy fit and kicked me off the R3Power site and shut it down on every member that was on it. Again, some of these members are on this site the .com site and the Rocket 3 Technology site I do not expect them to corroborate my statements it is purely up to them. They know I am honest and that is good enough for me.
Again you do not have to believe a word I said I have no stake in any of this bull****. If you have read as much about this stuff on this site, some of it might ring true to you or dust of your memory cells and put a few things into perspective. If not I am all right with that as people do not always agree on things.

Actually my opinion has changed........I know mine doesnt mean much but after reading all of this, It sheds light on how misconstruded things can get by just reading posts. Intent is half heartedly present in text and no amount of emoticons can do it justice So my attempt to stick up for the "little guy" didnt go so well as Im sure both sides have valid arguments. I wish both parties well in their endeavors. And thanks to everybody for sharing insight.
I recently was witness to an incident where I work in which the story got twisted enough to place blame on an individual who had nothing to do with the situation. All turned out well but between this and my work issue........well lets just say I learned a hell of alot!!!!

..yep, like the old adage, there's two sides to every story, and truth usually lies somewhere in the middle..

I can vouch for Warp. He is a stand up bloke and goes out of his way to help people. He even sourced a TPS for me so I could make the Noosa Salvo. He has only to ask and I would help him anyway I can. He has helped hundreds of Rocket owners both on this site and others and always goes that extra step to help solve peoples problems.

warp I THANK YOU VERY MUCH FOR ALL THE HELP THAT YOU HAD GAVE TO THIS PROJECT. I KNEW THAT YOU WAS LOOKING IN TO IT, BUT I DIDN`T KNOW THAT YOU SPENT THAT MUCH TIME ON IT. AGAIN I THANK YOU AND ART. I JUST WENT BACK AND READ PAGE 3 AND I WAS WRONG ABOUT SAYING IF THE SCRATCH WAS THERE OR NOT. I WOULD LIKE TO SAY NOW WHEN I CONTACTED THE FORMER OWNER HE DID NOT KNOW IF THERE WAS A SCRATCH OR NOT. I am not going to stoke this fire any more than it already has been, predominantly by grabits going off half-cocked on Carpenter Racing and making all sorts of inaccurate online allegations toward them for things that he and his wife were substantially at fault for.

Grabits, I'll tell you who I am not. I am not some crybaby scam artist who tries to wheedle something for nothing from anybody particularly not from an outstanding business in its filed that is largely known for its owner's integrity - aside from the stellar work his shop consistently produces. Neither am I one who rushes to blithely and incorrectly discredit others, accepts no responsibility for his own decisions or actions, cannot follow good advice and/or clear and concise directions and instructions, and has his buttons pushed by an imbalanced significant other.

My advice to you and your partner in crime is to enjoy the awesome machine you received from Bob, try not to **** it up by tampering with it any further without Carpenter's council and slink back into the shadows where you belong. The more you ***** here the worse you will look... guaranteed!
