Top Speed

I had the same thoughts. Just how fast would my 09 RT3 really go? I took off the bags, trunk and put the stock wind screen on. My bike has a Han's tune, a set of tors, improved air intake and a opened exaust path.
We had a local highway (I-94) that had been capped with new paving. I happen to know the day shift patrol Sargent for the local county. After promising crap I could never follow up on, a cruiser right behind me, I gave the Rocket the twist. 1st my helmet twisted. Fixed that problem and tried again. The best I was able to do according to the man in blue was 131 mph. I was 55 at the time and was scared silly. Still was fun....

I don't think it's about top speed......It's about can you hang on to your Rocket...

I use to own a Busa and ZX12 and 170mph + on those was like a walking in the park..

I stop looking at the speedo at those speeds. At 240kmh you are dong 219 feet per second (well I certainly am). Tunnel Vision? - Hell yes.

Especially on a Touring.
Did 115MPH and chickened out by then.

I thought they were limited on speed until you play with the ECM. I meant "off the shelf"

I like the comments on "stock" vs. "she ain't stock". I keep playing with ideas on what to change this winter. Finally figured it out.
Buy another Rocket. Start all over, this should give me something to play with.

IV'E gone off clock and only have dave platt silencers decat pipe ramair and hanso tune with more to give on a 08 classic.

I had my stock R3T up to 130 a couple of times, she was smooth as silk
My Stock Roadster on the other hand would vibrate like crazy approaching 120 so bad in fact that the mirrors would be useless.

My stock Injun on the other hand is smooth as butter up to 110 and then she flat runs out of ponies
