We have plenty of discussion about the tires for the beast.

My question is about the Bridgestones.

There is a B Exedra G852 radial-ply and the B Exedra MAX bias-ply

I understand the technical difference (how the belt nap lies in the carcass) but has anyone dealt with a different feel or performance of the belts.

The rubber is most of the grip, but the carcass holds the tire position on the face of the road.
The difference would be negligible on a small or light bike.
Not a darksider, does radial or bias ply matter on a 750lb bike.

You know, I didn't even know there were two different ones so I'll have to check to see which one I got. When I went to the bike shop I mentioned to the desk guy that it was the same one that came on the Suzuki M109 and he called it up that way. That's a performance bike so I just assumed it was a radial. Hmmmm

It sure rides nice and I'm holding it under 110 mph these days.

Performance wise the tires are both very worhty.
As a former tire guy (4 wheeels/cars/trucks) I know they can put radial or bias ply on a car and rotation matters a bit and the radial rolls a little better.
Since somewhere in this group there are 4 or 5 rocket scientists and engineers that know if it matters on a bike.

I had a bias ply set on my 70's torino and put radilas on it and it didn't matter for handling or MPG.

Modern cars are all getting radials out the door.

I sent an email to Bridgestone and Michelin and asked but have no reply after a week.

The EXEDRA looks fine on either style.

I just want more grip for the beast and the METZ aren't cutting it.

Anyone with an answer would be welcome
