My HJC is getting old and if it's true what they say about helmets losing their ability to properly protect after five years i'm way over due. I tried on a few the other day i liked the ARAI but i can't see spending that kind of change on a helmet. Anyone out there happy with the one they have suggestions welcome..;) I was looking at the BELL and was pretty impressed with what it had to offer for the price.

Here's something to think about!!!!

A few of us down under captains went for a ride earlier this month. One of the blokes lead us through some fine hills and corners, at a cracking pace I might add.

we get pulled into over by a motorcycle cop, or as we say (evil kaneville), now this bloke gives us all a lecture of riding safely, protective clothing, not to mention riding through atches of cow Sh#t.

One of the things that stuck in the mind was that new Queensland laws may require us to replace our helmet every 2 years, what a crock of sh#it.

First question is was the HJC comfortable for you? If it was look it up on webbikewold's helmet shape guide and look at other helmets with the same shape.
Bell Helmets are great, I've got a flying tigers vortex lid and it is very comfy with pockets for speakers. A bit noisy but I fix that with earplugs.
Good hunting!

Looks good... but the visor looks very narrow for use with a touring bike you may not be able to see the instruments with out dropping your head..

JMHO

Which model Arai did you like? Arai is one of the only manufacturers that make different shaped helmets. If the model you liked was a long oval model, your choices will be rather limited. If on the other hand it was one of the more round models, there are plenty of options.

Myself, the only full face helmet I find really comfortable is a long oval Arai. You can occasionally find them on sale, usually when a new model is about to be released.

I have used an Icon for several years and like it a lot, I couldn't find my exact model on they're website but its similar to the one shown here, except I bought the tinted face shield...

I just got an HJC modular from the superstore for under 200. I have a half, fullface and now a modular. Cover all the bases for a trip. And whether or not I want to talk to the wife...
