Time for a new Helmet

First question is was the HJC comfortable for you? If it was look it up on webbikewold's helmet shape guide and look at other helmets with the same shape.
Bell Helmets are great, I've got a flying tigers vortex lid and it is very comfy with pockets for speakers. A bit noisy but I fix that with earplugs.
Good hunting!
I have no problem liking the HJC and what it has to offer but the one i have is stressing my neck out a little heavy for the long hauls.I bought it twelve years ago. I switch back and forth depending on what bike i'm riding and find the full face for some reason is getting heavier i must be getting older and weaker;)..I bought the CL MAX -2 for my girlfriend she loves it ...

IMO, the Bell Star series is about as good as a fullfaced lid gets. Since I will not buy anything that isn't Snell 2010 and DOT approved it is the only offering of theirs that I would have. I am an Arai patron for many years, now, a vector 2 being one of my current lids, however the bell is better in a number of areas. I just had my Joe Rocket RKT 101 Carbon Fiber Transtone (made by HJC) helmet stolen the other day, it, too was Snell and DOT approved, but it was not quite up to the Arai and Bell's standards of performance and comfort. Honestly, I only bought it because it was the only lid I could find that nearly matched my Mulberry Red Beast.:)

This site often has phenomenal deals on year end, leftover and paint blemished premium helmets, so they're worth a look/see from time to time: Motorcycle Closeouts

Since the Signet is a good fit you might look for a sale on the Arai Profile. Its the long oval model the preceded the new Signet. I had an original Signet and I find the Profile to be a great fit. I found mine for almost half the MSRP.

I have a Shark evoline and love it nuff said!
it like All flip up helmets I have tried can be a little noiser than a std full face but the fact that chin piece goes all the way over back and still allows the visor to be used is a big plus

That's a big part of it's attraction for me. The fact that the chin flips to the back and gets out of the way. So hanso, I've read about the noisy factor and some even call it a piece of shiet. I've read some won't use it on trips because of the noise. Is it bad or tollerable. Also, is the noise too loud to use a system like Scala Rider effectively? THanks.

The next helmet I buy is going to be green or orange (like the reflective vests). HJC has the bright green now and a friend of mine has a bright orange. I can see her coming a mile away. That's what I want!

well it is the helmet I use on trips and I do not use ear plugs even thu I had some of the fancy earmold ones made I don't think the noise is as bad as the Nolan I had before it, this is by far more comfortable I don't think I would have trouble with my scala intercom system but it (the scala) is still in the nolan I used to use it alright in it and it (the nolan) was noiser so i think it come down to personel choice. I have mates who also have switched to the shark and like me love them. the problem with noise is quite often people compare flip up helmets with Full Face Helmets, the noise is partially generated in the overlap area of the fliping section and can not be avoided:)
