Hi all, can any body tell me how to set the little throttle stop screw as mine fell out a few weeks ago and I'm sure it has something to do with the clearance that the idle stepper needs as my bike has not idled properly since.
any ideas please.
Charlie.

I had a throttle stop screw on my harleys, but if you found one on a triumph show us.

It is under the front left side of the tank.Turn your throttle will looking and you will see it. Some with far more knowledge than I have said not to mess with it but it was my only way to get the idle where I wanted it (950-1000 rpm)
After setting it, my check engine light went on. All I had to do was disconnect my battery for a few seconds and the light went out.

Hi all, thanks for the input i have got it sorted ,started from scratch set 0.5 mm gap with the little screw and reset tps and idle motor using tuneecu now runs as good as new idle steady at 900 and no over rev at startup. Hanso I have left it with 5% deceleration and 10% tune no popping just a nice burble on decel so Mrs fat bottom and I are friends again poor vrod will have to stay put .
All the best, stay rubber side down,
charlie:thumbsup:

Good to Hear, Charlie

For the benefit of others who may experience this problem of a idle set screw going missing I told Charlie in a "Conversation" (formerly known as PM) that it was easy and that the TuneECU talks you thru the steps to do to set it right, so dont be scared to try and use TuneECU for all it's functions, it also asks you to confirm things you do to help make sure you do not make mistakes
