Im went out and bought a new one,it was only $24 and Im going away in few weeks and I wanted something better. I will be looking at modifying it over winter
Just had a closer look and there's far too much "slop" at the switchgear end. I've shimmed it out a bit with a bit of plastic sheet. MUCH SMOOTHER. Will test later on - tomorrow now at a guess.
I say Mr zimtuff (and others) - I have been using this google thingie - and am discovering ALUMINIUM (ALUMINUM if you insist) throttle tubes. Anybody tried one? One particular company in the US has various models and different cams - Th r3 is not listed - but it's probably just 'cos nobody has asked. http://www.g2ergo.com/
Must admit I am very very tempted. But I'm equally tempted to see if I can borrow my mate's lathe for a bit and make one in phosphor bronze or ........
I'm still waiting to find out if harleys will work or not.
Mine also has that slow crawl grab.
