Triumph Rocket III
So, I've been riding a few years, and lo and behold, I've just inherited a 2008 Rocket III from my dad who can no longer ride.

That is awesome, even though it has been sitting long enough that I have to replace almost all the seals and fuel lines. the scary part is that I am 5' 1/2" tall with about a 26-27" inseam. This means I can get on it with platform heels.

I've ordered a lower seat and am pulling the forks in as far as I can. Here's hoping that soon the heels with get shorter soon!

Thanks!!!

Please don't take this the wrong way...but you may want to sell that Rocket to someone a little taller "IF" you can't get to a flat footed position on at least one foot. The Rocket is a heavy beast and it can get away from you even if it is turned off and not moving...just think about it...wouldn't want to see you get hurt.

HEY CONGRATULATIONS!!!
You can lower with shorter rear shocks as well.
Hey, I knew a 6' tall guy with a 27" inseam. Same issue.
Your enthusiasm is contagious Keep us posted.
Thanks and ride safe.

We've had a couple of 5' chicks riding the RIII, but Texan chicks may be tougher than Californian dudes. :whitstling: Have fun on it, but be careful - it is faster than you think and, if it starts to tip when you are stopped, it gets heavy very quickly.

Welcome! Lower an inch, change the seat, inserts in healed boots and you'll be right.

I've heard chipmunks ride pretty hard so you might want think about raising the pegs if you lower the bike - they scrape easily in stock position.

I am only 5-6 and put Hagon shocks and springs on my Touring. Lowered it an inch and I can sit flat footed without a seat change. Contact Han ghere in CA and they will tell you exactly what you can get away with. They were very helpful when I spoke to them.

Thanks for all the support! Speaking of support, the low rider seat that I ordered was out of stock, so my money is back in my account. After looking around a bit, it seems that Corbin is the best low profile seat to get. Any info on if there are even lower profile saddle available? Or should I take the inquiry to a different part of the forum? :x3:
