This Sucks

And cage drivers without seat belts, bicyclists without helmets and any other activity that could result in harm greater than your ability to pay.

Life and health insurance policies have rated (applied higher premiums) on policyholders who are smokers for decades, Scott. Insure a car without seatbelts or airbags and, yep, you'll pay more than for vehicles that have them. Bicycle insurance, well I'm not familiar with that - it must be a Looeasyanna thang!

If we're required to buckle our seatbelt in our cages.........
Y dont we have seatbelts on our scootahz????????

You make a good point. When the helmet law was thrown out here in Michigan (as it should have been) I took my helmet off and went for a ride just for the fun of it. It was a short trip, as I had forgotten just how uncomfortable it is to ride without a helmet. Sand, wind noise, bugs, stones, etc. It all came flooding back. I believe in choice, but I never go anywhere (except maybe around the block) without my helmet on. It's not as much about safety for me as it is about my comfort.

I bought a new Arai several years ago. A $600+ expense, but a very comfortable helmet on my odd shaped head. First ride out, running 70+ on a two lane road through the Indian reservation I see a very large bird out of the corner of my eye. Instant thought was, he'll pull up. He almost did. I had a stiff neck for a week and a nice scratch on my brand new Arai.

YES antiwheely for u bad boy

What about the right to safe roads? Don't we as licensed motorists have the right to safe roads, or are the rights for people to use cell phones while they're driving more important? Your right to do anything ends when it endangers others...
