I might have mentioned it already, as much fun and confidence inspiring the Storm was the 12,000 mile tune was too steep for me. I managed 9500m on the tires but I put 14000m on the first year!!! tires brakes and that valve check.whew, they charged me $900.00 and said it would have been more if they were out of spec. sweet ride if one can afford it or can do the work themself.

Just out of curiosity I checked with Brison Triumph in Newcastle NSW for a price on a Thunderbird LT sort of the small equivalent of the rocket touring , price A$25.500 WTF the price of a Rocket Roadster is $23.400 where is Triumph going with this , I thought the Thunderbird was the poor mans R3T not just as dear with half the bike! just another touring under powered twin a nice one I know but nothing unique like the Rockets ,I may have to buy another new R3T while I can and keep it for when this one wears out in my old(older ) age
I rode the Rocket about 420 this past weekend through some really nice sweepers up into Kentucky and the whole time I kept wondering to myself why I bought the Storm. Then I rode it to work Monday and said OhYeah, its fun. Glad I have both but this Triumph addiction is danged expensive.

if I had the confidence to do it I might still have the bike. 2 round trips from chicago /atlantic city with at least 1/2 rain and temps in the mid 40's... I nearly traded it on a trophy.
Had a look over one at local Dealer yesterday .. didn't impress me anymore than the previous models .. each to their own and I know they are popular but ..... weighing it up I'd go a RIII anyday.
