BSA WM20, Rocket III Roadster
Last weekend I took my BSA M20 to a show / meet of Nortons and BSA's in Southern Sydney, and managed to get a few pictures of the original rocket 3!

To my understanding, BSA made the original rocket 3 back in the 60's, however it was owned by Triumph by then, so was really a BSA badged Triumph. (Apparently not!, see posters below)




This one won best BSA in show.



Seems red was a popular colour!

The triumph hurricane was actually supposed to be the new bsa rocket 3 redesigned by Craig Vetter. Bsa went under just before it was supposed to come out. That’s when triumph picked it up...I read that somewhere.

The triumph sister bike to the bsa rocket 3 was the triumph trident.
 
While the Rocket 3 and Trident were very similar in appearance there were differences - the Rock used slanted cylinders the Tridents were vertical, different frames,
