My father had me read Churchill's four volume set "The History of the English Speaking Peoples" when I was about 15 years old. Dad fought in Italy in WWII with the 85th Mountain Infantry and regarded Sir Winston as one of the greatest men in western history. Me too.

You hit it right on the head Ian, most people outside Britain think Churchill was a god because all they know of him is from WW11 as I said earlier he was a great war leader and a half decent painter and that is all the good things I will say about him.
