The Brahma Drama...Aka Throttle Body Issue

Maybe so... But it is hard to part with my first 'forever bike'. Brahma is running good at the moment and I now know how to care for him better. Just wished Triumph had designed this portion better.

Yes the rocket is built in England, you would thinks it should hold up better in inclement weather!!

good luck with the new maintance procedure!

I think you need a different dealer sounds like BS to me I dont see anything wrong with that a little cleaner wont fix and that grime will come off with some starter fluid and injector cleaner no big deal and why dont you clean your bike ?
Oh I will now Art, in these hidden recesses hence I knew not prior...

@warp9.9 I still have a bad back fire issue associated with this ordeal. This morning makes the second time the bike did not start for my commute to work. The vacuum lines mentioned before that may need replacing, are those the MAP sensor lines or something else. The backfire is only at low throttle opening and idle.

Usually back fire through throttle bodys means a lean condition. yes the three vacuum hoses go to the map sensor. also u have some plugs that cover some vacuum tubes that are on the throttle body.

Since yours is newer you might also have other vac line for the emissions crap they added. They will take the place of the blanking plugs on the other throttle body ports?

Sorry it took so long to answer. I have not been home to my computer since the 10th of July.

Could be an air leak at the mounting block under the TB - since it has been recently disturbed. @Wrecka had a crack in his recenty
Dang, that is no good. I sure hope it is not that bad off. 2016 has not been a good year for me with vehicles.

@warp9.9 Thanks, I hope to get to it this week. Got a trip to Mayberry days next month.

Bad off?

Bad off, must be an american euphemism. It means.....bad shape, more or less.
