Nah don't feel dad, It was just plain ol' bad luck, it pisses off as I thought I did a good job and it looked like was going to be a real comfy backrest for Ann with the Triumph Classic Sissy Bar Pad I put on it, probably more pissed off because of the tools I lost thu, I had those Sidchrome spanners for about thirty years and they were still awesome to use
Please Do!! he was ready to give me a RJ top box fresh from the pallet of stock that had just arrived, but I said I was going back to a Ventura style Expandable bag as I was not wanting to go down the Topbox road again and if he wanted to offer me one of those I would be grateful so he did
Not Crying Mate, more like mourning the loss of a good mate cos good tools are like a good mate they never let you down!!! and it is a Bloody shame to loose quality stuff like those Sidchrome spanners that were made in the day when "Sidchrome" stood for the pinnicale of quality in the Tools and You only need to buy once in your lifetime as they dont self destruct like the cheap crap
I hope you didn't take my post the wrong way I'm sorry you lost your top box and tools. I was just pointing to the fact that while you had a bad day someone had a good day.

No sweat Bruce I didn't, in fact while putting along the edge of the road on Ann's little GPX250 and a couple of trucks came by I was thinking I needed to be up in the passenger seat of one of them and I would get a better view over the edge of the road, losing the top box was a pain especially as I had bought a classic sissy bar backrest pad which wasn't cheap, but I know that it and the pad will probably be stuffed anyway, the bloody good tools are probably going to sit there being wasted in one of the ditches filled with 5ft high grass till a fire comes thru and wrecks the lot, if you couldn't tell I love my tools and prefer to pay extra for quality stuff. I doubt anyone picked it up before I had back tracked as the top box had two large reflective panels which if it hit the road would have left a mess, I reckon it went straight of the back into some long grass which there was plenty off
