at Eurosport Cycles in Fort Worth, TX.. This was the first time on a Rocket III. Took the bike out on a 12 mile loop and then back to the dealership. My current ride is a 98 Honda Valkyrie Tourer and I have always ridden with a windshield. That being said, the wind on Saturday was blowing like you wouldn't believe. The Rocket III I was riding did not have a windshield and I was riding into a headwind and all I could do was hold on for dear life. I couldn't open her up like I wanted to due to the wind. The other thing that I didn't like was the position of the shifter and foot brake. I like mine to be a little further back and I think the new Roadster has addressed that issue. The other thing that I will need is some pull back risers. What risers are on the market for the Rocket III that will work with the OEM cables without having to run longer cables? Other than a windshield, risers, and footpeg location, I enjoyed my test ride. Looking forward to a test ride on the new Roadster and becoming a Rocket III Captain in the near future.
