It is about the most ugly motorcycle I have ever seen, but here is the story. This bike (a 1988 Yamaha FZ600 according to Hero Blob), had been sitting in a basement since it was parked in 1999. The owner's Son bought it and had a friend drive it home. The young man had never ridden a bike in his life and he was going to use it to commute back and forth to Washington DC on Interstate 95. He never took a rider course or got his license which probably saved his life or at least some disfigurement knowing what that slab is like. A friend who lives next door to the owner told me about the bike and that the Father just wanted the thing out of his basement since the Son no longer had any interest in the machine. One hundred and fifty dollars later the bike was being loaded on my trailer with title in hand. The bike shows 17k and the wiring has been screwed with, (from the looks of it by Ray Charles), to accommodate the after market faring. After a tank and carbs cleaning, new plugs, oil and filter, and a battery I am betting it will start. The motor and brakes aren't seized and I am hoping for the best. It will not be staying very long, or I will be leaving according to my Wife.

Hey that would fit in Riding Sunshines stable, I could broker a deal:D

I wouldn't mind having it just to screw around on...
A can of black spray paint and it would look fine.

The reason it's got to go (when you get done with her) is that I don't think your wife will like riding on that back seat.

That's a nice lookin' bike for the price!..

The ugliest production motorcycle is the 1979 Honda CX500 Deluxe. I had one in turd brown with gold pin stripes.. I picked it up for $500 when a co-worker who was too cheap to buy tires for it slid it down the road during a thunderstorm. Luckily, it had a Vetter fairing and bags on it, which were destroyed, but the rest of the bike was in good shape. I did manage to give it some appeal with a nice blue paint job, and some new tires of course.

I'll increase the offer to $250.00 :) I commute down I-95 to inside the DC beltway every day, so the bike will be used for its original purpose.
