Tach double sweep ?

Thanks HeR3tic, Luckily I don't have any of those symptoms. Just the extra tach sweep 1 time. Think I'll put her under observation and see what happens.

+1 on the touch pad mines way too sensitive. My HP laptop has a on/off switch by the touch pad with an indicator light that turns red when it's off. I don't know linux but if it's possible try turning off the touch pad then try the mouse.

That double sweep thing was what mine was doing once in awhile a couple months before the ignition switch started failing. Triumph replaced it two weeks ago and it hasn't done it since.

Every 50 or so starts my tach and all lights in the glass do not work. I turn it off and restart and all is well. Been doing it for 5 years.

New developments with ignition switch and or ECM.

After several days of knocking on wood, my head started hurting, but the situation is looking more like an ECM disconnect. Just guessing at this point:

Neither speedo nor tach sweeps occurred on my Monday morning (its been a very long weekend) startup attempt today. Though there was no sweeps I commenced to hit the starter button and it fired right up, then the sweeps then occurred. I again saw the same failure of the normal sweep action of the tach on my start up after work this evening; but no speedo sweep and the speedometer didn't register at all on the way home. I should point out, that the trip 1 and trip 2 readings are resetting to zero after each failure of the normal sweeps with initial ignition key on action.
