Not sure what parts to send and receive on trade as to electronic and fluid connections for rear brake....need a little help here. I hope they are interchangeable.

Mine was a very straight forward swap. I did the left side first... On the right side I plugged my switch from my 2011 Roadster directly into the master cylinder from the 2006 classic... Refilled and bleed the rear brake line and reset the ABS... It works like a champ.. Took all of 45 min...

What about the electrical hook up? Do I keep the subcomponent in picture or send that along as well? Guess I'm asking up to what piece do you swap?

Guy I'm swapping with says his master only has brake line and no place to plug ABS into. How did you handle this?

I am the other person involved in this swap. My master cyl. does not have wires going to it at all.

Im not sure what difficulty you are having. When I did the swap it seemed very easy. Here are some pics of my 2011 R3R with ABS that may help...

The issue is making sure we each get the correct parts to each other considering we live 2000+ miles apart and my bike is my daily driver. We were told to send everything by someone else! Well now we find out he has ABS and I do not so the masters are different among other things. Also both of your rear brake lines are soft mine is a rigid line up to the swing-arm.

So I see by pics and understand we only send rails and foot controls. Master cylinders are retained and not swapped. I think problem solved.....we were originally told to swap all part. Thanks for rolling in the dirt to snap the pics!

My master does not have any wires. I will have to get a new rear brake line also because it is a hard line from the master to the swingarm.

Did you use the master cylinder from the classic or retain the master for your roadster? They appear to be different and would need to stay with the peg mounts. (they have different p/n from Triumph) The confusion seems to be the electrical needed for the ABS version. Mine just has a std. banjo bolt and the roadster I assume uses that switch in place of the banjo bolt to the master cylinder?
