strange oil leak

look at the picture I was gone for a month and upon my return this is what I see two puddles of oil under the rear of the engine I did pour some oil in the oil tank a month ago but from investigating seems the oil on the table "appears to have seeped from the crank vent there is no apparent leak anywhere else.. any idea why also I changed the outside rubber of the throttle and clutch handles now again strangely the throttle only rolls back 1/8 of a turn from closed position I did not open the throttle housing just replaced the rubber grip what is going on with these strange happenings the cables appeared ok

Looks like a low spot on your lift and the oil came from further forward??? Starter o ring maybe? Fire her up let her warm up and park elsewhere to trace drips...

Temperature has been bouncing between -40 to +15 and back over the last month. Could it be seal/gasket shrinkage or is your garage heated?

I had a month ago done some light work and turned on the portable heater but I checked carefully the oil puddle there is nothing leaking from the back of engine the pan seal is perfect but the crankcase filter was covered in oil suggesting an overfill maybe and the oil would have found a path down toward the rear and puddled on a low spot on the table

I cleaned the table and we will see if more oil find its way down. not overly concerned yet

now what the F***** is wrong with the throttle I am tired of chasing problems I am going to let the dealer look into it as soon as possible

You said you added oil. I bet you had a complete drain down and the added oil put you past the breather. I would drain all oil and measure what you take out.

When you replaced the throttle rubber you probably twisted on the throttle. Sounds to me like you cod either have dislodged one of the cable nipples in the throttle tube or broken the throttle tube where the nipples sit - or even broken one if the cables. My guess is either a bit of throte tube or a cable nipple has come adrift. Open the switch block and have a look.

should have mentioned ... at the same time the engine management light stays "on"with the engine running I suspected both were somehow connected .. i will split the switch block and see
