The under seat K&N doesn't add much in the way of air flow. Removing the perforated plate around the stock filter does about the same. No real difference in mapping required.

Triple K&Ns are a different matter.

I agree with the you. I have to go conservative until I can get the works from you.

What is special about the crossover pipe on the R3T you have mentioned to me before?

Flow......... it is like trying to let out a burp with your mouth closed as opposed to opening your mouth and letting it rip;)

Thanks Wayne.

From what I have read, the rear flies close more with the TORs tune. How is that affected with the triple K&Ns? I saw the Tunecu website and saw the triple K&N download. Does that eliminate the rear flies from closing more or do you have to use the tre or just remove them?

You and I have emailed and I have the TORs coming. I'm trying to figure out how I can get the triple K&Ns, Crossover pipe, and TORs installed and you tune the bike as low cost as possible. I still have to get a hitch. If I put on the TORs now, will they sound the same as they would after your mods? I want to be sure they are what I'm looking for before I have you tune for me. I want deep sound. I have a lot of Harley friends. They are already saying it sounds like a Goldwing.

Are the TORS different from the accessory mufflers which is what I have?

I think it is the same thing. I just did the 10 minute ECM reset and the bike runs fine. A little gurgling when downshifting, but liveable. Nice rumble. I didn't download the TORS ECM program because I read on here that the download closed the rear flies more hurting the power.

When I put the TORS on I did the 12 min. Reset and it was ok for 400 miles and then it started popping on the decel, took it to the dealer and remapped for the TORS big difference smooth power deeper growl.i put k&n after the TORS tune no change runs great....sandman

You took the better choice now if you were to add a PCV + AT you will get the extra power benefits of the more open Exhaust and if you also have a set of K&N's as well as maybe Good TuneECU tune to fix the ignition timing and you will have Smooth Power and Plenty of it

The triumph TORS tune that you get from your dealer will make the bike run smoother but does limit the Potential Power because what Slidderhd just said is true it closes the secondaries more to richen the fuel, yeah it might sound better but does not add any real power follow what I just sugested to him and you will unleash a whole new Beast which will have large amounts of usable power which comes on Strong as you want or as docile as you want :D

I had the TORS and under seat K&N installed with the tune. Rode it about 150 miles. It seemed to me that there was a improvement in power and a decrease in MPG. Might of been because I kept opening it up just to keep listening to the sound. I'm sure my tires will suffer also.
The other upside is it makes me smile more.

10,000 mile tuneup coming up soon.
