Do the hi beams work? If both lights are blown then the bike won't run.

I think that's a myth because if both lights were out there would be no power to the starter (no power to the starter/light relay) If you know what I mean.

If everything else is ok then I would look at the ignition switch wires, and if melted off then fit headlight relays.

It is so comforting to know that governments and corporations are so concerned with our welfare. More likely looking out for themselves and their liability.

Two things I don't see mentioned so far:

1). Clutch switch

2). Kickstand switch

Ignition wires deffo an area to check, also take of right side panel, disconnect battery , check connections to the ECU for corrosion or loose fit. Do you get ignition sweep when the key is turned to on position?

Glad you got it sorted. The wiring harness to the ignition switch is a bit of a week point, and it is more so if the wires are a bit tight. Wiring the headlights through a relay like the EB kit will help a lot, and make your headlights brighter.

Double what he said. Do the headlight relay or you WILL have more ignition problems.
