I have the shorties fitted, I got them off ebay. I also know a couple of other guys in the UK that run them. That pic is the only bracket failure I know of.
mitch this was the failure i was talking about.. lucky for this guy it happened when he was pulling into the garage.. that bracket is for LOCATION of the cat only.. the mufflers and manifold support the cat. if you use this bracket i absolutely guarantee it will go to fail
Travel guy, I have thought for years about making chamber mufflers for the rockets, similiar to Flowmaster mufflers. Looking at this picture I wonder if that box looking thing could be replaced with a chamber muffler with straight pipes beyond it. I wonder how much bigger the chamber muffler would have to be compared to the box above. It would be a huge weight savings.

keep that happy thought.. all you need to do is look at how triumph did what they did for their exhaust system,the manufacture technique involved.. in this case a single spot weld .. and a rudimentary knowledge of harmonic vibration , metalergy, and geometry.. ahhh whatever .. good luck to ya
