Stable of 3

Been after a ZRX for some time now but when i see one it takes off and have to keep waiting for the next one

Hey Trev my rocket has a leaking left fork seal also . Is it an easy job to do yourself? i might put progressive springs in at the same time. Not sure if i need any special tools or not

I wouldn't try it myself, Mitch, unless I had access to someone who knew what they were doing. There's a few threads on here to take you through it so not impossible; just not something I'd take on without the right tools and/or knowhow. You may as well swap out the springs when you do it. Wouldn't say the Progressives made a huge huge difference but definitely better and for the money, well worth it.

Ok thanks Richard I might leave it to the shop then. Yeah going to get the progressive springs at the same time unless u recommend another brand ?

Yes there are special triumph tools, I would let a shop do it, it is a prick of job replacing seals on conventional forks let alone upside downers

I did Progrssives and pleased enough. No idea if you can or can't do better but for the money these seem to work well. I changed out the rear shocks at the same to Roadster shocks (courtesy of Ponters) and bike corners really well with no wallowing at all. Still rides a bit hard over big bumps but doubt you can do much about that. I know you can spend a fortune and probably do better but as I said, I'm happy.

Speedie is on the bike trailer outside , going to Triumph shop 8am tomorrow.

Tom, sorry I didn't see this post earlier. What are the symptoms with the Speedy not starting? Rarely is the starter the problem on those bikes. I've only seen one that had the brushes let go. Hopefully it's nothing serious.
