Speedo lights up but the needle's stuck

The speedo on my Rocket has stopped working.

• The speedo lights up but doesn't sweep on startup

• All the warning lights on the speedo are on constantly

• The tacho is stuck on 88888 like it does at startup

• The rev counter does sweep and functions

• I've tried waggling the connector under the fuel tank

Anyone got any ideas?

speedo needs to be replaced. had the same problem which also affects the tach. replaced under warranty.

My speedo is doing the same thing. Three years old in July, out of warranty. So far the tach is working OK. Let us know the outcome.

Spoke to the service department at my local dealer. The conversation started with "I don't like Rockets...". Hmm I thought; this isn't going to go well. "You'll have to bring it in but we're full for the next couple of weeks so there's nothing that we can do".

So I'm speedo'less for the next couple of weeks which is pretty piss poor to be honest. I'm looking for a friendlier dealer...

When I went for a test ride on the rocket at Fowlers of Bristol , the salesman started with that same line .......I do not like the rocket , and then proceded to tell me about the 6 speed gear box , christ I knew more than he did , Did not buy from them thats for sure :?

Sounds like "salesman" is not a very accurate description of the dufus.
Wonder if the owner knows this guy is blowing off the warranty work money?
