Slight glitch in 1st convoy, if I only had the Rocket here...

Last stop before rocket leaves the pad.

It appears the R3 mojo is still working. Got to Bagram around 1:30 pm. Had three Humvees as escort this time, usually it is just two. Enjoyed a "Burger King" double cheese whopper for a late lunch.
Now just one more "long" day of wait tomorrow and it'll be time to go from here.
Only bad news so far my dealer is having trouble getting ahold of his contact at Noonan, Ga to send the bike down from the warehouse. I hope it gets there before I do. I'd like to get this VIN# so that I can notify my insurance agent and get the VIN to my credit union so the paperwork will be already to go on Monday.
Thanks again for the encouragement.

Hey Dennis, just got off the phone with Travis to find out what the hold up was on your bike and he explained the situation and wants you to get in touch with him asap.He is going to get you an email when I got off the phone with him.You know the drill man so just get your ass home.

Phone home

Thanks Baggage1, I'll see if I can get to a computer with Outlook on it, I think he must have used that because it didn't get to my regular e-mail account (we've been using Outlook from my office computer). I'll give him a call this evening if anything else as he should be just opening up around 6:30 pm my time (9 am...pcola time).
Jamie...just waiting on the first flight now...tomorrow morning, unfortunately that is 28 hours away (almost 5 am/Friday here).
Keep that mojo working.

Hey MM, I've been reading the thread. Good to hear you are close to the end of your mission. We'll still be praying for ya until your feet are on American soil, and your butt's on the Rocket.

Keep us posted. See ya.

MM,

I've been telling my son and his buds about your experiences and now they want to work overseas for the big bucks,.....I laughed and told them to join the Military or get an education first,......kids!

We are praying for you and crossing fingers and keeping the Rocket mojo going......

Experiences?

I have experiences over here...oh, you mean the occassional idiot that blows himself up, so far I have been fortunate not to run into one (or is that the other way around). The good thing about coming into Bagram on Thursday is that we went thru this other gate on the other side of the airfield this time instead of the real crowded, come to a standstill, gate that we usually do. Not sure why they didn't do this from the beginning, but am glad they are doing it now.
Only a couple more hours now. If my hotel they put us up in Dubai has internet available I'll check in there, if not I'll be stateside when I check in next.
Thanks for the thoughts and prayers.

Molinoman has landed

Hey guys (gals?), just got into Atlanta around 12:45. Waiting for flight to Pensacola at 5:20 PM. Won't be long now.
Great job on the mojo.

The green grass of home, Molino. Granted, Atlanta is just an airport. But, at long last, it's home, isn't it? Best .
