Serious and/or peanut gallery commentaries are both invited and encouraged - I can always use a good laugh.

Mine own take is pretty simple; With the global sales volume and attending economic challenges that The Motor Company has been facing for several years, now, you'd think that they have bigger fish to fry than trying to fleece some rich schmuck out of $2MM USD. Is this an act of desperation or a brilliant way to fabricate PR value, as in; "There's no such thing as bad publicity?" I think that this is nucking futs and more than a bit gauche.
