Rocket 3 GT
Does anyone know about the shift assist for thr Rocket 3 GT. The first model came out number ending in 8507, then it was changed to 8833. What is the differance between them and what was the change for......

The TSA (Triumph Shift Assist) for Rockets (to my understanding) allows upshifts under load without the clutch. It's basically a "quick shifter" and is limited to up shifts only. Someone with it installed can give you a more definative answer.

The TSA on my Speed Triple RS allows shifts in both directions clutchless (first gear being the exception at stops you need to hold the clutch in), basically if you're moving you can shift at will without the clutch.

The TSA is the gizmo attached to my shifter:

I had the dealer install this when I bought my new '23 R last February and it shifts in both directions.

I use it more for upshifting than down, great for leaving everyone in your dust pulling away from stoplights.
Agreed, but then my Speed Triple is capable of around 100mph in first gear so not a major factor for evil grin production.
