Like the sound a phonograph needle scratching its way across a vinyl record ... you know the sound. Wait just a minute here Scotty.

Are you telling us the H-D dealer pays you to ride along because they don't trust motorcyclist enough to take a test ride on their H-D bikes BY THEMSELVES ????
No dealership in this area will let anyone take a bike out unsupervised, now me being in charge that is a joke onto its self.:D

Kind of Chicken S*** isn't it. At least they found a way to allow test rides. I remember a time years ago when I lived near Baltimore you could not find a dealer who would allow a test ride.

The guy who owns the shop(Gus) has a HD 128CI with a turbo installed, a nice looking bike I tried to ride it but that was a big nono, now the funny part he has over $22000 in engine and upgrades on the bike for a total value of $56,000

My Porsche cost that much when it was new. I toss the keys to anybody I know can drive well if they want to take a test drive. It is just a vehicle that is insured and replaceable. My guess he doesn't want anybody to know how mediocre his expensive H-D really is. It should do well with a turbo on it one would hope.

Have you challenged him to race one of your Rockets?

Our local Harley dealership allows unaccompanied test rides. In 2018 I took a Heritage Softail Classic, with the new 114 CI Milwaukee 8 engine, for a test ride. Same with the Indian dealership when I rode a Dark Horse. At both I filled out a liability release form, left a copy of my drivers license and insurance papers and off I went.

When I bought my Touring, they didn't want to let me take a test ride, I pulled out the roll, $8000 cash, I had in my pocket, looked at it, put it back, and said sadly, oh well, too bad, I was a serious buyer. They couldn't get me the key fast enough.
Alot of times it depends on their insurance policy. You buy the cheap coverage they dont want people riding...
