I removed my secondaries and my gas consumption increased, my MPG went from about 30 to about 26 miles per gallon. Yet I note a common side effect of removing the secondaries may be (possibly) a "leaner" condition. Just trying to understand in not too technical terms how more gas to go the same distance can be leaner. In my view it appears that the more air is also drawing more fuel. Not so?
Seems to me that ATRE would have the same effect, or how does the ATRE react differently when opening the secondaries that prevents a possible "lean" condition?
