Sandy on it's way

Sandy isn't even here yet and she's kicking butt. They say we have at least another 12 to 18 hrs before she hits land. The winds are rooring with lots of rain going in the oppisite direction that it normaly does.. No trees down but a lot of branches. I already know what I'm doing Wed. Cleaning up. No gas left at the stations in my area. All we can do is get the bottle out.

neighbors tree went down across the road taking all the lines down. Generator is running for about 3 hrs then bed time. see what the morning brings. Anyone else in the way be careful

Here in Aust. Iheard an American bloke who lives in Manhatten interveiwed on the radio. He said in times square the British and German tourists were stoickly going about their day while the French tourists were panicing madly. Don't know if he was serious or not but it made me laugh. Bit like the French military rifle from world war 2 advertised on ebay, add said dropped once never fired.

On a seriuos note all those in harms way try to stay safe. Already hearing reports of Bounty replica sunk with 2 lives lost.

Here in Cleveland power's out everywhere, mine included. Power company says up to a week to get it back on.

Basically a non-event down here in Virginia. If the storm track had been another 50 miles south, then maybe a different story. We were very fortunate.
