Were you able to find the VSS wire and did you need to attach that to the Centrodyne unit?

I think I'm gonna go with the Rostra 250-1223 and also purchase the magnetic pickup 250-4165 and go that route. I'm not sure I wanna mess with the VSS. I want to stay out of the bike wiring as much as I can.

That sounds like the best way to go by using the magnets.
So you would need these 3 items from amazon?

If you go ahead with this project could you do a writeup and perhaps some step by step pictures too that would be great.

I have to wait until this summer before I can do my cruise control as I have enough on my plate now with the new Jardines and triple filters coming in.
The wife is starting to give me the" Evil Eye"for spending more on my Rocket than I do on her!

I will try to do a video of the install like Ive done with my tire changes and such. (search DRMD421 on YouTube) I will probably get mine in January because I get that same evil eye here lately with the mirrors and GIPro I just bought! I believe you are correct on the three items.

I like the magnet idea best. Where did you get the magnet setup? Is it an option with the electronic kit? I looked at Murph's site but didnt see it anywhere.

As you have worked out... I used the Rostra mag kit....
I made a bracket out of 1mm stainless steel and painted it matt black (can hardly see it) uses the ABS pickup bolts to secure... Also had to make a bracket to mount second magnet because there is five spokes to the ABS ring and the two magnets need to be fairly evenly spaced. You could use five magnets (one on each spoke) but the kit only has four.
