Reckon the Rebs have planned the run to Perth to boost the numbers of their chapter there
A lot of clubs do that circuit, used to see big numbers of them all the time north of Carnarvon heading around the top.

Thought that was reasonable given hiring a bike is around $2k for 10 days.

The bike transit mob that advertise in pop ups here just quoted $760 to crate and ship Perth to Adelaide incl basic insurance (didn't get return quote but have assumed it'd similar so around $1500 all up). Thought that was reasonable given hiring a bike is around $2k for 10 days.

That is the drawback .. unless you have a second bike. Reckon my mate would do it better than $1500 return. Need to get hold of a Harley tourer crate. That way it's an easy fork on fork off .. cheaper that way
