Fall Bike week/ gathering at Myrtle Beach, South Carolina will be from the 3rd to the 7th of October 2007. If anyone who owns a Triumph, would like to attend and Rocket to the Beach let me know. The best days are usually Thursday and Friday. Folks commonly book-out of town by Sunday to get back home. It would be great to have some Rocket Captains gather at the event. Here is a listing for Hotels; (http://hotel-guides.us/south-carolina/myrtle-beach-sc-hotels.html#pavilion). I plan to stay in the Broadway at the Beach area.

I was considering the spring Myrtle Beach Bike Week this year but I read and heard so many negative things about it, I decided not to attend. Lots of guys call it 'Murder Beach Bike Week'. I'll adopt a 'wait and see' attitude about the later gathering and then read the reviews. Maybe next year if they start acting a little more sane.

I'm way too old for that kind of ****.:)

Flip,

The spring bike week at Myrtle beach is somewhat uncontrolled. Over 150,000 bikers arrive in the area. The Fall bike week is much more subdued. Hope to have some Rocket Captains show. But, if not I’ll go play golf.

Here are some links to the Fall Bike Rally at Myrtle Beach. It is refered to as the Pilgrimage. Less than 1/4 of the bikers that come to town in the spring, ride in for the fall festivities. The actual event and the vendors are in Murrels Inlet at the Inlet Square Mall Area. Murrells Inlet is just south of the city of Myrtle Beach. Broadway at the Beach is just north of the city. Hope to see a good showing of Rocket Captains.
