Rocket is not a motorcycle one can ride in shorts

Yesterday we had 41C here (peak summer I have seen 48C here) ... I always ride with full Jeans, light weight summer jacket, gloves and a helmet.... I unfortunately bare the scars and have the titanium pins and screws in my body as a reminder.... Ride safe to ride again! Blessings and a blessed Christmast!
This! Lived in Namibia where it even gets hotter and never rode in shorts. Too many scars to count and learned the hard way.

So, rode in shorts and cooked my right leg. Yeap, that is the gist.

In the summer, can't ride in shorts or the sun will burn the knees to a crisp, in winter, when one can finally ride in daytime, it is the radiator fan output that broils the leg. I guess, you can do it on a highway, maybe a local road with a wind removing the heat... But if you get stuck in traffic somewhere, or a long traffic light, it will cook ya.

Maybe R version has better leg position in comparison to G, further from the radiator, but, who knows, maybe it is even worse. On G, I can kinda keep my right leg on the outmost peg position to help to move the leg from the directed hot air from the radiator, but it is possible that on R, it might, be in that position to receive the hot air cone, and moving a leg will not help ya. I don't know.

Another issue is the Competition Werkes exhaust, it is so short, even when the bike is stationary, can't really keep my leg on the ground anywhere, closer to the front wheel, the radiator gets me, closer to the rear wheel, the exhaust bites... Basically, no good position. You just take turns to bbq the leg in places where it is not yet as well done.

So, guys, no shorts on the Rocket.
If you really want to feel a leg burn, wait until you go down on pavement in your shorts!!

Riding on the street in shorts, could be one of THE DUMBEST things I've read here.

You are preaching the choir, brother. They didn't even finish their sentence with "ATGATT or don't ride at all". Lol, they are so stupid, stupid to live! I don't even know why people start riding motorcycles if they are not ATGATT. I personally fell in love with the romanticism of riding a two wheel because I get to dress like a knight with all the gear! You did too?!

Not even in the top 5 dumbest things I've done.
Of course, we all have different acceptable levels of risk. Believe it or not, I know people who think riding a motorcycle is the dumbest thing they ever heard of. You're liable to kill yourself! 😉

.... and some even say it is food and oxygen that eventually will kill you... 😉
