Back in Afghanistan, great Rocket country
Hey guys, thought I'd give you all an update about my whereabouts lately.
First off, congratulations to all of you who made it to ES, was kind of hard to take, I really wanted to be there, but it looks like all of you had a great time and some adventures and, who knows, maybe, hopefully, next year.
This is great Rocket country over here...oooops wait a minute, this site is about the ones you ride, not the ones they lob over the perimeter...my bad.
Anyway, after getting into Dubai on the 28th of August, was stuck there till Sat. morning, then rolled into Bagram, unloaded some passengers and then arrived in Kandahar around 9 am. Originally I was scheduled to go to FOB Sharana, but on the first day of orientation it was changed to Jalalabad, and the next day to Lagman. Ten days later the haze around Kandahar lifted and we finally got in our chopper/helo and arrived in Lagman around 6:30 pm last night.
All I can say out here the stars are really bright, the camp is rather primitive, I'll be living in a tent for awhile, but the food is better than at Kandahar.
Again, you guys ride safe, take care and I'll try and post some picture soon as I can get to a computer that I can upload something on.
