Ya I agree with Fred it could need a total going thru which means its basically a rolling chassis waiting for a transplant engine. The right price it could be worth finding a newer updated engine for her.

If it was run for any length of time with watery oil it may have damaged some of the plain bearings (crank, rod, cam).

Yes that's the problem. I will have to consider it .. It looks like trouble. I may go for it.

Looks like a more expensive job than I first thought. Must look at engine options. Thanks

Does anyone know what to use when resealing a wet liner.

Manual says use this stuff

I highly recommend you download and follow the manual

I have a manual but it doesn't specify what sealer to use and no shims/gaskets are mentioned.

I have now found that the Triumph manual on page 5.21 says to use Threebond TB1215J (as was recommended by the replies on this site) but can only seem to find Threebond 1215 (no J on the type number). I assume it gonna be the same stuff.
