rocket 2013

Hey it looks like my now , how funny

I like yours better, without the stripe.

Tas-mine rusted too, before warranty was even up, worst chrome I've ever seen, my 94 Dynaglide's chrome looked better after 18 years. Then again, I ride in Winter. But still...

Any opinions on whether the 'new fuel-injection mapping' will be available / compatible to earlier model Roadsters?

So I thought I would follow this up with Triumph Australia. Below is the reply email I received;

Hi Steve

In answer to your question, NO YOU CANNOT LOAD THOSE NEW TUNES IN YOUR BIKE if you do the ECU will lock you out.

I just tried this in my workshop to be positive about this answer and it locked me out, the bike will not run.

Any questions feel free to give me a call

Kind regards

Whoops

Well that sux,
but I think Tom's new map for the TuneECU will work.
Go to his site and check it out,
or I think there was a post from him on here a couple of days ago about it.
Good luck.

Thanks Skip.

Due to warranty issues I think I best avoid TuneECU / Tuneboy maps at the moment, hence the inquiry for a Triumph tune.

Sadly the 2013 roadster tune appears to be incompatible with the earlier roadster models. Just hope the Triumph Tech can get his bike running again

I would like to know what that bear claw is made from? Plastic, metal or both. Looks good. I've thinking about blacking out some items that Triumph blacked out on this bike. The headlights is one that I was going to black out.

I really like that colour scheme apart from the stripes.

As an aside and I know that Plasticote has been discussed on the forum before, but I watched a video the other day by Plasticote - it showed how easy it was to apply and how easily the coating could be stripped off if wanted. If there was no lasting damage to the original paint or chrome it would be a way of trying out a colour change very cheaply and being able to return to original even more cheaply.
